Aaron English – American (Fever) Dream (Eronisongs)
Aaron English is a singer-songwriter and pianist from Seattle, who is slowly but surely - over the course of two previous albums (dating back to 2002) and a number of coast-to-coast tours - making a name for himself. So much so that, without major label promotion, he’s getting name checked on TV shows and “Believe” the first single from “American (Fever) Dream” charted.

Previously, his AOR pop songs have drawn favourable comparison to extremely successful artists, from Peter Gabriel and Sting to David Gray, but there’s nothing so obvious on his latest record. English is fully in command of his own sound, and it’s his songs, just as much as his voice and musicianship that take centre stage.

Notable tracks, the afore mentioned “Believe”, plus “Anthem” and not forgetting “A Northern Sort Of Silence” are the sort of songs that daytime BBC Radio 2 should be playing on a daily basis. There are a couple of single edits tagged onto the end of the disc aimed directly at radio play. They deserve to be heard.
