All India Radio - A Low High (Inevitable Records) An album of chilled atmospheric instrumentals with an emphasis on relaxed. A mixture of unobtrusive lush, ambience and songs; where the lead vocalisations come from horns, slide guitar or strings. Tracks such as “Solstice” and “Intrigue” use found sound and samples to add depth, without intruding on the instrumental tranquilities created. Even the few drum led numbers could only muster being labelled serene trip-hop. Of the collaborators involved, ambient sounds are added to the mix by current Bad Seed, Ed Kruepper. It sets a perfect backdrop of clear blue skies, sunshine, a laid-back way of life and vast open spaces that are ultimately Australian.
