The Little Heroes - Thank You (Wednesday Records) If you were lucky enough to catch their first album, Cinematic America, you'll be aware that Little Heroes make intelligent, smartly crafted melodic rock music. If I'm late in reviewing this, it's because I've spent too long just enjoying that album. A little bit Hooty, a little bit Coldplay; they manage nevertheless to sound fresh and original. The songwriting is assured and shines through on the slower numbers, and the little gem “Back Where You Came From” is a repeated listen on my system. As haunting closer “Postcards Sent West” reverberates in your mind there is always a temptation to hit the repeat button, make a big pot of coffee, put your feet up and start all over again.
