Trans-Mission: The Midnite Squeeze

Trans-Mission – The Midnite Squeeze (Mad Trap)
London quartet Trans-Mission describe themselves as a “freaky, sleazy, scum rockin’ rock ‘n’ roll band”. Seriously, apart from the repetition, what’s not to like? Back in the 1980s, the UK indie scene was awash with bands like Trans-Mission, inspired by the garage rockabilly of The Cramps and the blood-splattered, gutter-hugging rock ‘n’ roll peddled by Nick Cave’s Birthday Party. They’d have fitted right in. They’ve got all the right moves and songs titles like “Dirty Doris”, “Giant Brown Creeper Shoes” and “Trashy, Sassy, Minx” will find favour with retro rockin’ dads and Brylcreemed wannabes alike.
